Certificate & Stone Selection

Every stone
has an identity

Every diamond offered at Shusha is graded and certified by independent laboratories. Because trust must be measurable.

Trust is measurable

The certificate of the light you buy

A diamond’s worth is defined by its cut, colour, clarity and carat. Shusha documents these four measures with a report from independent gemological laboratories — so you choose with complete peace of mind.

The language of the diamond

The diamond’s four measures — 4C

Worldwide, every diamond is assessed by the same four measures: Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat.

C
01 · Cut
Cut

Cut is the most critical measure of a diamond’s brilliance; it shows how well the stone captures and returns light. A poorly cut stone can look dull despite high colour and clarity. Shusha offers only Excellent and Very Good cut stones.

Excellent Very Good Good Fair Poor
Shusha standard: Excellent – Very Good
C
02 · Color
Color

In a diamond, “colour” actually means colourlessness. The scale starts at D (completely colourless) and warms toward Z with faint yellow tones. The less colour, the clearer and more valuable the stone. Shusha collections are selected in the D–H range — stones that read white to the eye.

D E F G H I–J K–Z
Shusha standard: D – H (colourless – white to the eye)
C
03 · Clarity
Clarity

Clarity reflects how few natural inclusions sit inside and on the surface of the stone — the fingerprint of its formation in nature. VVS and VS grade stones, flawless to the naked eye, form Shusha’s core standard.

FL / IF VVS1–2 VS1–2 SI1 SI2 I1–I3
Shusha standard: IF – VS2 (eye-clean)
C
04 · Carat
Carat

Carat expresses a diamond’s weight — not its size. One carat equals 0.20 grams. Two stones of the same carat can look different in size depending on their cut, so carat should be read together with cut, never alone. Shusha offers certified options from 0.10 to 3.00 carat.

0.30 0.50 1.00 1.50 2.00+
Shusha range: 0.10 – 3.00 carat

The right stone for you

Choosing by your priority

The perfect stone is the one that balances your budget with your priority. A few pointers.

If brilliance matters most

Keep cut at the top. An Excellent cut comes before colour or clarity; it is what truly brings the light to life.

If whiteness matters most

Focus on colour. The D–F range gives an icy-white look, especially pronounced in white gold and platinum.

If budget matters most

Choose the eye-invisible threshold: G–H colour and VS clarity look almost identical to the top grades and hold their value.

If visible size matters most

A stone with good cut proportions and slightly lower colour will look larger and bright for the same budget.
